Flexographic Printing Press Operator positions available to EXPERIENCED candidates only: Only candidates with a minimum of 1 year of experience of operating a flexographic printing press.
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Flexographic Printing Press Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a Central Impression (CI) flexographic press and be comfortable working 12 hour shifts on either days or nights.
Advanced Operators are expected to perform equipment setup and changeovers, monitor production parameters, identify and resolve operational issues, and coordinate with helpers to maintain safe and efficient operations.
The Press Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating the CI press, maintaining consistent print quality, completing production orders, and ensuring finished products meet customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor a flexographic printing presses throughout graphical and coating production runs
- Lead a crew of 3 to 4 employees
- Set up presses, including inks, plates, cylinders/sleeves, substrates, and other press components.
- When not operating the press for printing, the Flexographic Press Operator will be responsible for performing multilayer flood coating operations
- Perform press make readies, color changes, and job changeovers.
- Maintain accurate color, registration, tension, impression, and print quality.
- Inspect printed or coated material for defects and make adjustments as needed.
- Follow production schedules and meet established quality and efficiency standards.
- Complete production paperwork, quality checks, and required documentation.
- Troubleshoot common press and printing issues.
- Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and housekeeping around the press.
- Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Communicate effectively with Quality, Maintenance, Production, and other team members.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Physical Requirements
This is a physically demanding position that requires standing for extended periods, frequent bending, lifting, and moving materials. Operators must be able to work around moving machinery and may use material handling equipment such as pallet jacks to transport materials and finished goods safely and efficiently.
In addition, Operators must be able to use measuring tools to verify product specifications, oversee crew performance, ensure crews are operating safely and meeting quality expectations. This role is ideal for experienced manufacturing professionals seeking to apply advanced skills and take ownership of production performance within a fast paced production environment.

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
