Strategic Media Planning Executive
Addington Agency | Las Vegas, NVFull-Time | $50–$75 per hour, commensurate with experience
About Us
Addington Agency is a Las Vegas-based creative advertising agency specializing in high-impact, integrated marketing for the legal industry and other competitive markets.
We believe the strongest campaigns aren’t built around individual channels—they’re built around a unified strategy.
Our work brings together television, outdoor, radio, search, social, programmatic, streaming, content, and creative into cohesive campaigns designed to build brands, reach the right audiences, and generate measurable business results.
As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced media strategist who can help lead that integration.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Strategic Media Planning Executive to serve as a central strategic hub for Addington’s media operation—bridging traditional media and modern digital performance channels into sophisticated, data-informed media strategies.
This is not a single-channel media buying position.
You will be responsible for looking at the entire media ecosystem and determining how channels should work together to accomplish a client’s business and marketing objectives.
The ideal candidate understands both sides of today’s media landscape: the scale and reach of TV, Radio, OOH, and Print, and the targeting, attribution, optimization, and performance capabilities of Paid Social, Search, Programmatic, CTV/Streaming, and other digital platforms.
You should be equally comfortable analyzing audience data, building a media recommendation, challenging an inefficient allocation, and presenting the strategy directly to a client.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of integrated omnichannel media strategies across traditional and digital channels.
- Translate client business objectives, audience insights, competitive intelligence, and market conditions into actionable media plans.
- Develop strategic recommendations for media mix, channel selection, budget allocation, audience targeting, geography, flighting, reach, frequency, and campaign phasing.
- Determine how traditional and digital channels should complement one another rather than operate as separate media silos.
- Provide strategic oversight across TV, Radio, OOH, Print, Paid Search, Paid Social, Programmatic, Display, Video, CTV/Streaming, and emerging platforms.
- Evaluate media proposals, inventory opportunities, platform recommendations, and vendor packages through the lens of overall client strategy and ROI.
- Collaborate with media buyers, digital specialists, account executives, creative teams, production partners, and agency leadership to ensure strategy translates effectively into execution.
- Monitor campaign pacing and performance and identify opportunities to reallocate budgets and optimize the overall media mix.
- Analyze cross-channel campaign data and transform complex performance information into clear, actionable business insights.
- Develop and present media strategies, performance reports, competitive analyses, forecasts, and optimization recommendations directly to clients.
- Partner with account leadership to identify opportunities for client growth, additional media investment, and new strategic initiatives.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the Las Vegas media landscape while evaluating broader national and regional opportunities when appropriate.
- Stay ahead of changes in consumer media consumption, measurement, attribution, privacy, AI, ad-tech, programmatic platforms, streaming, and emerging advertising channels.
QualificationsRequired
- Significant professional experience in strategic media planning within an advertising agency environment.
- Demonstrated experience developing and managing integrated traditional + digital media strategies.
- Strong working knowledge of traditional media planning and buying, including TV, Radio, OOH, and Print.
- Strong understanding of digital performance media, including Paid Search, Paid Social, Programmatic, Display, Video, and CTV/Streaming.
- Advanced understanding of media fundamentals, including CPM, CPC, CPA, CTR, conversion rate, GRPs, TRPs, impressions, reach, frequency, audience composition, attribution, and ROI/ROAS.
- Experience working with audience measurement, analytics, advertising, and media-planning platforms such as Nielsen, Comscore, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, or comparable tools.
- Proven ability to manage substantial media budgets and make informed allocation and optimization recommendations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into a compelling strategic narrative.
- Excellent client-facing communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
- Ability to confidently explain—and defend—the strategic reasoning behind a media recommendation.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple client campaigns, priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
Highly Valued
- Experience working with legal, healthcare, insurance, automotive, financial services, or other highly competitive advertising categories.
- Experience planning media within the Las Vegas/Nevada market.
- Experience with media mix modeling, attribution, competitive intelligence, audience segmentation, and cross-platform measurement.
- Experience managing significant local or regional advertising budgets.
- Strong understanding of lead-generation businesses and the relationship between media investment, lead quality, acquisition cost, and revenue.
Who Will Succeed in This Role
You may be a strong fit if you are the person in the room who naturally asks:
Who are we trying to reach? Where are they actually consuming media? How much should we invest? What role should each channel play? What is the data telling us—and what should we change next?
We’re looking for someone who sees the complete picture.
You should be strategic enough to build the plan, analytical enough to challenge it, experienced enough to defend it, and commercially minded enough to understand that media ultimately needs to drive business results.
