Full Job Description

About our company:

Sanders & Wohrman, a family-owned and operated business, has been servicing the finest builders and property management companies in southern California since 1979. Our specialties are commercial and industrial painting, caulking and coatings, including Epoxy and urethane floors, sealing concrete slabs, concrete restoration, caulking non-rated and fire-rated joints in tilt-up panels‚ or slabs, below-grade waterproofing, as well as standard paint and wall covering services.

We are currently seeking a Project Manager for our office in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the execution of projects from initiation to completion.
Bid, estimate, and walk projects.
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Coordinate resources, both internal and external, to ensure project success.
Monitor project progress and performance against established baselines.
Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues.
Resolve project issues promptly and effectively to minimize impact on project objectives.
Stay up to date on industry-wide product specifications, applications, and material failures to inform project decision-making.
Clearly and consistently communicate with superintendents to ensure successful project scope, scheduling, deadlines, and punch list items are addressed.
Ensure adherence to project management standards, processes, and best practices.
Foster a collaborative and positive project team environment.
Submit and capture all monthly, weekly, or as needed billings.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards
Facilitate project meetings and other communication sessions as needed.
Follow up on bidding leads.
Ensure proper tools are in place before starting a project.
Attend job walks with customers
Submit accurate bids and COR’s in a timely manner
Maintain exceptional customer relationships.
Consistent customer lunches, visits, and lunch and learns.
Attend industry wide events as needed.
Attend job walks as needed.
Document and maintain updated construction details, addendum, RFI, etc..
Ensure documentation is communicated with field or required parties.
Ensure contracts, insurance, and bonds are current and received before any work is performed on site.

Qualifications:

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) - Required
2 Year or 4 Year Degree – Preferred
Valid Driver’s License to operate a motor vehicle and proof of insurability

Competencies

Ability to read and do take-offs from plans
Reliable and willing to learn
Team player
Detail oriented and extremely organized
Ability to perform in a high-stakes environment

Experience

Minimum 5 + years’ experience in Project Management
Must have experience in bidding and project managing, commercial caulking, and coatings projects.
Additional experience in bidding commercial paint projects strongly preferred.
Must have experience in Estimating & Commercial construction

Pay: Starting from $70,000 per year plus commission
