Las Vegas, NV | In-Office | $25–$40/hr DOE & Credentials

Real talk before you scroll further: this role runs on 1120-S and 1065 returns. If that phrase just made your eye twitch in a good way, you're exactly who we want. If it made your eye twitch in a "what even is that" way, this romance was never meant to be. No hard feelings, just save us both a swipe left.

Who We Are

Twenty-five-plus years in and we still refuse to run this place like a tax factory that treats humans like ticket numbers. Kasminoff & Associates is a tight-knit Las Vegas CPA firm where we actually know our clients' names, their businesses, and their tax season anxiety, and we do something about all three. Accuracy. Integrity. Personal service. It's not a mug slogan, it's just Tuesday for us.

We're growing, and we need someone who matches that energy instead of coasting on autopilot.

The Role

This is a year-round, part-time, in-office gig — not a seasonal fling that ghosts you in April. We need someone who's actually around, actually invested, and actually good at the work all twelve months of the year.

Heads up, this isn't a "stay part time forever" situation. This role is built to grow into full time as things ramp up, so if you're looking for something with a real runway, not just a paycheck stopgap, you're in the right place.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, roughly 20 to 29 hrs/week, business hours only. We don't do 2 a.m. tax emergencies here.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

Preparing 1040, 1120-S, and 1065 returns, plus whatever else keeps things spicy
Wrangling client documents into something organized, not just "technically in a folder somewhere"
Hunting deductions and credits like it's your personal sport (it kind of is)
Talking to clients like they're people, warm, clear, and on time, not a voicemail black hole
Keeping files audit ready, because "close enough" has never once impressed the IRS
Staying sharp on current federal and state tax law, because the rules love to change on us

What You Need to Bring to the Table

2 to 3+ years hands on with 1120-S and 1065 prep. This part is non-negotiable; it's the whole job
Real, working command of tax code, not a vague memory of one accounting class
Comfort in professional tax software, UltraTax is our love language, but Drake, ProSeries, or similar will also earn a nod
Active PTIN required, EA, CPA, or CPA candidate status gets you extra credit
The ability to talk to clients and coworkers like a functional, non chaotic adult
Detail obsession at a borderline unhealthy level, because the IRS does not grade on a curve
Deadline ownership without needing a babysitter
Willingness to actually show up, on time, in person, at our Las Vegas office
