We’re hiring a Center Director in Ankeny! Whether you’re an experienced Center Director looking for your next opportunity or a strong Assistant Director ready to lead your first center, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

Lead daily child care center operations and support your team
Build a positive, supportive school culture centered on children, families, and teachers
Coach, develop, and engage your teaching team
Maintain licensing, safety, and compliance standards
Build strong partnerships with families and the local community
Support enrollment, staffing, and center growth
Create an engaging early childhood environment that inspires children to learn, grow, and become lifelong learners

What We’re Looking For

Center Director or Assistant Director childcare management experience
Knowledge of child care licensing, safety, and compliance standards
Strong team leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
Ability to coach, motivate, and develop staff while creating a positive school culture
A genuine commitment to early childhood education and helping children learn and grow
Must meet Iowa Director qualification requirements

To be considered for this Center Director role, you must meet Iowa licensing requirements. Which pathway best describes your current qualifications?

Bachelor’s+ in ECE, Child Development, or Elementary Education + 1 year full-time child care/preschool experience

Associate’s in Child Development or Bachelor’s in a child-related field + 2 years qualifying experience

CDA or 1-year Child Development diploma + 3 years qualifying experience

Bachelor’s+ in a non-child-related field + 3 years qualifying experience

I meet Iowa Director requirements through another qualifying combination of education, training, and experience

None of these apply — I do not currently meet the qualifications for this role
