Full Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Executive Chef to lead our culinary team! 2-3 months off for the Winter season!

Location: Seekonk Area

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

Our client, a premier private country club, is seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Chef to lead all culinary operations. This individual will be responsible for delivering an exceptional dining experience for members and guests while overseeing kitchen operations, menu development, food quality, staff leadership, and financial performance.

The Executive Chef will play a key leadership role within the club, partnering closely with club management to elevate the overall member dining experience through creativity, consistency, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Lead all culinary operations for the clubhouse, banquet facilities, and special events.
Develop innovative seasonal menus while maintaining member favorites and club traditions.
Ensure exceptional food quality, presentation, and consistency across all dining outlets.
Mentor, train, and develop a high-performing culinary team.
Manage daily kitchen operations, including scheduling, inventory, purchasing, and food production.
Maintain food and labor costs within established budget goals.
Build strong relationships with local vendors and negotiate purchasing agreements.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Collaborate with club leadership to execute weddings, golf tournaments, holiday events, wine dinners, and member functions.
Oversee inventory controls, waste reduction initiatives, and kitchen efficiencies.
Continuously evaluate culinary trends and introduce new concepts that enhance the member experience.
Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional kitchen culture focused on teamwork and accountability.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5-10 years of progressive culinary leadership experience, including experience as an Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef.
Prior experience in a private country club, luxury hospitality, resort, or fine dining environment strongly preferred.
Strong leadership and team development skills.
Demonstrated experience managing food and labor costs while maintaining exceptional quality.
Experience overseeing banquet operations and high-volume events.
Knowledge of inventory management, purchasing, budgeting, and financial reporting.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, member-focused environment.
Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred.
ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain) required.
