Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Med Aide to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist in the administration of medications to residents, ensuring compliance with prescribed dosages and schedules. As a Med Aide, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of those in your care.

Responsibilities:

Accurately administer prescribed medications to residents according to the physician's orders
Maintain precise records of medication administration and track residents' medication schedules
Monitor and report any changes in residents’ health or behavioral status to the nursing staff
Assist with daily living activities and provide supportive care for residents as needed
Ensure safe storage and handling of medications
Participate in training and development sessions to stay current with healthcare practices and state regulations
Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated patient care

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required
Certification as a Medication Aide or Assistant, as per state regulations
Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate empathy and compassion
Basic knowledge of medical terminology
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
