Job Summary: The Lead Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for coordinating clinical pharmacy services and ensuring that the pharmacy provides optimal clinical services on a daily basis. The lead clinical pharmacist facilitates the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems that promote desirable patient outcomes through the use of safe, appropriate, cost-effective medication therapies.

CarolinaEast Physicians is made up of over 150 physicians, and mid-level providers who provide care to patients spanning four eastern North Carolina Counties. We have specialties including Primary Care, Pediatrics, Rheumatology, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Neurology, Podiatry, Endocrinology, Cardiovascular Surgery, Otolaryngology, General Surgery, Oncology, Urology, Physical Medicine and Rehab, Orthopedics, Psychiatry, and Gastroenterology.

Minimum Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited Doctor of Pharmacy Program with current licensure as a pharmacist in state of practice. Preferably have completed an ASHP accredited residency program or other advanced training.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Clinical Pharmacist and 2 years’ experience in a supervisory/management or coordinator position in a hospital pharmacy.
Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide pharmaceutical services appropriate to the age of the patients served on an assigned unit.
