NOW HIRING: EXPERIENCED TREE CARE PROFESSIONALS
PPM Tree Service & Arbor Care, LLC is growing and looking for dependable, safety-focused tree care professionals to join our team. We are currently hiring for Groundsmen, Experienced Tree Climbers, and ISA Certified Arborists.
We provide professional tree care services with a strong emphasis on safety, quality workmanship, teamwork, and customer satisfaction. All employees are expected to follow company safety procedures and use required PPE while performing their duties.
OPEN POSITIONS: Groundsman
Groundsmen support our climbing and tree care crews by preparing equipment, maintaining safe work zones, handling debris, and assisting with daily tree care operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare and load trucks with necessary tools and equipment.
- Set up cones, signs, ropes, and designated work/safety areas.
- Follow required PPE and company safety procedures.
- Assist climbers by sending and receiving tools using ropes.
- Gather, move, chip, and dispose of branches, logs, and debris.
- Operate equipment such as chainsaws, blowers, chippers, skid steers, and loaders.
- Maintain clean and organized trucks, equipment, and job sites.
- Maintain awareness of drop zones, equipment hazards, traffic, pedestrians, and other job-site hazards.
- Help protect crew members, customers, and the general public while work is being performed.
- Communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
Qualifications:
- Previous landscaping or tree care experience preferred.
- Ability to safely perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to frequently lift and carry approximately 60–80 lbs.
- Dependable and comfortable working around power equipment, saws, chippers, and machinery.
Compensation: From $20-30/hr, based on experience and qualifications.
Experienced Tree Climber
We are seeking experienced climbers who can safely perform ground, climbing, rigging, cutting, and aerial lift operations while maintaining professional tree care and safety standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform tree pruning, trimming, and removals using proper climbing, cutting, and rigging techniques.
- Perform pruning and cutting operations in accordance with applicable ANSI A300 tree care standards and company specifications.
- Apply proper pruning practices that consider tree health, structure, clearance requirements, and long-term tree integrity.
- Safely cut and lower branches and sections of trees using appropriate rigging methods.
- Demonstrate proper knots, climbing techniques, rigging procedures, and equipment inspections.
- Properly use required PPE and climbing safety equipment.
- Operate chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, skid steers, loaders, blowers, and related equipment.
- Perform bracing and cabling when required and qualified to do so.
- Assess trees, equipment, work zones, and job-site conditions before and during operations.
- Maintain safe work practices for the crew, customers, and general public.
- Communicate clearly with ground personnel during cutting, lowering, and rigging operations.
- Work effectively as part of a professional tree care crew.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of professional tree climbing/tree care experience.
- Strong climbing, rigging, cutting, and tree assessment skills.
- Knowledge and practical understanding of ANSI A300 pruning standards and accepted arboricultural practices.
- Ability to work safely at heights and perform physically demanding work.
- Ability to frequently lift and carry approximately 35–80 lbs.
- Dependable and committed to safe equipment operation and professional-quality tree care.
Compensation: From $400/day, based on experience and qualifications.
ISA Certified Arborist
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced ISA Certified Arborist who is passionate about proper tree care, preservation, safety, and customer service.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform professional tree inspections and health assessments.
- Diagnose tree health, disease, structural, and pest concerns.
- Provide knowledgeable tree care recommendations to customers.
- Lead and/or assist with pruning, removals, and other tree care operations.
- Apply and oversee proper pruning and tree care practices consistent with applicable industry standards.
- Use appropriate rigging techniques and operate bucket trucks/aerial equipment when qualified.
- Oversee safe work practices and help maintain compliance with applicable ANSI Z133 safety requirements and company safety policies.
- Promote proper PPE use and safe work practices among crew members.
- Assist with crew leadership, safety instruction, and employee training as needed.
- Communicate professionally with customers and crew members.
Qualifications:
- Current ISA Certified Arborist credential or other recognized Certified Arborist certification required.
- Demonstrated professional tree care, pruning, trimming, or arboriculture experience.
- Strong knowledge of tree biology, proper pruning techniques, and applicable industry standards.
- Working knowledge of ANSI A300 tree care standards and ANSI Z133 safety requirements.
- Experience with rigging and aerial/bucket equipment.
- Strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
- Commitment to safety, professionalism, and teamwork.

All team members are expected to contribute to maintaining a professional and safe job site.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR ALL POSITIONS
- Chauffeur's Driver's License.
- CDL is a plus.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
- Strong safety record.
- Dependable transportation and attendance.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a crew.
