Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic, dependable, and experienced Tumbling Coach to lead weekly classes and work with our athletes. You will coach small-group tumbling classes, conduct skill evaluations, enforce safe spotting techniques, and help athletes build confidence on and off the mat.
Key Responsibilities
- Class Instruction: Lead organized, high-energy tumbling classes ranging from basic progression (cartwheels, bridges, kickovers) to advanced skills (handsprings, tucks, layouts).
- Athlete Safety & Spotting: Demonstrate proper spotting techniques, drill progressions, and body mechanics to ensure maximum athlete safety.
- Attendance & Punctuality: Maintain a highly reliable attendance record. Arrive on time, fully prepared with class lesson plans, and ready to coach.
- Progress Tracking: Conduct periodic evaluations and provide constructive, encouraging feedback to athletes and parents.
- Positive Culture: Foster a safe, clean, and motivating gym environment that aligns with our core values.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 1+ years of experience coaching cheer tumbling, gymnastics, or tumbling (preferred).
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of tumbling skill progressions, entry-level through advanced mechanics, and safe spotting techniques.
- Dependability: Outstanding reliability and communication skills. Consistent attendance is critical for athlete development and schedule stability.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to spot athletes of varying ages and weight classes safely, stand for extended periods, and move gym equipment as needed.
- Background Check: Must pass a standard background check prior to hire.
