Do you love animals, enjoy working independently, and want a job where every day is different? We'd love to meet you!
On Paws Professional Pet Services has been providing trusted, professional pet care in the San Marcos area since 2015. We offer in-home pet sitting and dog walking, as well as boarding and doggy daycare at our facility. We are currently looking for dependable, detail-oriented pet lovers to join our team.

- Walking dogs

- Administering medications
- Providing playtime, companionship, and enrichment
- Cleaning litter boxes and picking up pet waste

- Watering plants
- Following detailed care instructions exactly as written
Most visits are 30 minutes, although some are shorter or longer depending on the client's needs. Visits are scheduled back-to-back during your shift.

- Evening (approximately 5:00–9:00 PM)
Some days you may work one shift, while other days you may work two connected shifts. Occasionally, shifts may total 5–6 hours when visits run together.
Cross-Training
All pet sitters are cross-trained to work as backup staff at our doggy daycare and boarding facility when needed.
You must be comfortable working independently with groups of dogs and able to safely handle multiple dogs at one time.

- Be willing to cross-train at our boarding/daycare facility
- Be available most weekends, holidays, Spring Break, and throughout the summer, as these are our busiest seasons

Hours
This is a very part-time position and should be considered supplemental income, not full-time employment.
Pet care is seasonal, so hours naturally fluctuate throughout the year.

Pay
Compensation includes:
- $13.00/hour base pay
- $0.655 per mile reimbursement while traveling between client visits
- 100% of your tips
Most team members earn approximately $17–$20 per hour in total compensation, depending on mileage driven, tips received, and hours worked.
