Job Title: Trimmer
Location: New Britain, Connecticut
Reports To: Production Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site Shift: 1st Shift (8 am - 4:30 pm)
Position Summary
The Trimmer is responsible for hand and/or machine trimming of cannabis flower to prepare it for packaging and sale. This position is an entry level role focused on producing consistently well-manicured flower that meets quality and appearance standards
Responsibilities & Duties
· Follows instructions given by the manager.
· Hand trims and/or machine trims cannabis flower to remove excess leaf material while preserving trichomes and bud structure. · Sorts and grades trimmed flower by size, density, and appearance.
· Maintains consistent trim quality and speed to meet daily production targets.
· Bucks and preps harvested plant material for trimming as needed.
· Weighs and records trimmed flower and waste material accurately.
· Performs visual quality control, identifying and flagging mold, pests, or foreign material.
· Disposal of plant waste following state regulations, including weighing, and recording of waste.
· Cleaning and sanitizing trim tools, stations, and rooms according to procedures set by management.
· Compliant with SOPs and state regulations.
· Ensure the work area is kept in a clean and safe condition.
· Actively contributes to maintaining a safe work environment by following applicable safety procedures, wearing appropriate PPE, and reporting injuries, near misses, and hazards to management.
· Acts in a manner that is positive, productive, cooperative, and encourages teamwork.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
· Must be at least 21 years of age.
· Experience trimming cannabis, floral arranging, or other detail-oriented manual tasks preferred.
· Steady hands and strong attention to detail required.
· Must be able to pass a background check in accordance with state regulations

Physical Requirements
· Constant repetitive hand and finger motion.
· Frequent carrying of up to 50lbs.
· Frequent sitting or standing for extended periods, handling, pinching, and reaching.
· Occasionally grasping, gripping, kneeling, stooping, and walking.
Workplace Environment
· Constant exposure to cannabis odor.
· Frequent exposure to high heat, humidity, noise.
· Exposure to cleaning products that require use of gloves.
· Frequent skin exposure with plant resins, to which some individuals may be allergic (PPE provided).
· Occasional exposure to temperature changes, atmospheric conditions, and vibration within a temperature-controlled room.
