Full Job Description

Job Function:

Assist the marketing department in executing day-to-day marketing activities, including social media management, content creation, client storytelling coordination, and marketing analytics. This role plays a key part in ensuring UCEDC’s communications are consistent, engaging, and reflective of the organization’s impact.

This position will also support marketing, communications, and outreach efforts related to UCEDC's 50th anniversary, including content development, promotion, and fundraising marketing initiatives.

Job Duties and Responsibilities Include:

Create and update flyers and promotional materials for workshops, programs, events, and 50th anniversary initiatives using Canva or similar tools
Source content from internal teams to support marketing efforts and identify opportunities for client stories and program highlights
Manage UCEDC’s social media scheduling through Hootsuite, including drafting, scheduling, and publishing posts
Interface with clients to coordinate interviews, gather information, and support storytelling efforts
Schedule and conduct client interviews to capture success stories
Draft short-form content for social media, email campaigns, website updates, press releases, and promotional materials
Assist with drafting and formatting content for newsletters, lending updates, APEX communications, and training emails
Track and report on marketing performance across social media, email campaigns, and website traffic
Maintain simple dashboards or spreadsheets to monitor engagement and trends
Assist with updating website content, including events, program information, and new content
Attend events as needed to support marketing efforts and capture photos, videos, and content
Assist with organizing and maintaining marketing materials and assets
Support planning, coordination, and execution of marketing efforts related to UCEDC’s 50th anniversary, including content development, event promotion, and outreach
Produce content and marketing materials for fundraising campaigns, sponsorship opportunities, donor communications, and storytelling initiatives.
Other tasks as assigned

Skills:

Strong organizational skills
Experience using social media platforms and scheduling tools (Hootsuite preferred)
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong design skills and ability to create graphics using Canva or similar tools
Basic video editing skills and ability to create short-form content
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Comfort interacting with clients and conducting interviews
Basic understanding of marketing analytics or willingness to learn
Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt content for marketing, public relations, and media audiences
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications:

0–2 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field (internships acceptable)
A bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or relevant work experience

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
