Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. A minimum of 3 years verified experience as a sushi chef is required. This role involves preparing high-quality sushi dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and delivering an authentic dining experience to our guests.

Responsibilities:

Prepare a variety of sushi and sashimi dishes with precision and artistry
Ensure all food preparation adheres to food safety and sanitation standards
Plan menus that highlight fresh ingredients and innovative sushi options
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen area
Assist in inventory management and ordering of supplies as needed
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy hours
Uphold the restaurant’s quality standards and presentation for all dishes served
Provide excellent food service by engaging with guests when appropriate

Required:

A minimum of 3 years of verified experience as a Sushi Chef
Must be authorize to work in the U.S.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Strong knife skills and proficiency in food handling techniques
Experience in menu planning, meal preparation, and food presentation
Background in upscale restaurant environments preferred
Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours
Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities
Prior dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus but not required
Experience in catering, food service, or the food industry is advantageous
