We are looking for a Superintendent to join our team! As a Superintendent, you will lead day-to-day field operations on multifamily and wood-frame construction projects, partnering closely with the Project Manager and project team to deliver safe, high-quality work on schedule. You will oversee subcontractors, site logistics, scheduling, quality, and field coordination while creating a collaborative and accountable jobsite environment.
Job Responsibilities
Scheduling & Project Planning
- Maintain and update the project CPM schedule in partnership with the Project Manager, ensuring progress, delays, and project requirements are accurately reflected.
- Plan and coordinate labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and site resources to achieve project milestones.
- Identify schedule and resource risks and develop recovery or mitigation plans as needed.
Site Management
- Serve as Haselden Builders’ field leader and primary representative on the jobsite, overseeing day-to-day construction activities, logistics, and field coordination.
- Manage subcontractors, field personnel, sequencing, materials, and equipment to support safe and efficient project execution.
- Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and Plan of the Day activities and participate in owner and project meetings.
- Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure work conforms to project requirements.
- Complete required field documentation in Procore and monitor self-perform production, budget, and cost when applicable.
Safety, Quality & Risk Management
- Lead Haselden’s safety program on the jobsite and promote a strong culture of safety and accountability.
- Conduct required safety meetings, inspections, JHAs, and stormwater inspections.
- Identify and communicate field, schedule, quality, and constructability risks to the project team.
- Lead QA/QC efforts, ensure installed work meets project standards, and investigate/document jobsite incidents as required.
Team Development
- Establish clear expectations and accountability for field team members.
- Coach and develop Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and other team members.
- Foster a collaborative jobsite environment and lead consistently with Haselden’s culture and values.
Job Qualifications
- 5–7+ years of progressive multifamily and wood-frame construction experience with a general contractor.
- Strong experience in project scheduling, field coordination, safety, quality, and subcontractor management.
- In-depth knowledge of construction means and methods, materials, plans, specifications, and sequencing.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, schedules, and contract documents.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Procore; ASTA and Lean Scheduling experience preferred.
- Large civil/site development and earthwork experience preferred.
- Ability to lead defined scopes or areas on larger projects and work effectively as part of a larger project leadership team.
- Ability to travel regionally and drive as project needs require.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work regularly in active construction-site environments.
- Ability to walk and inspect project sites, including stairs, ladders, uneven surfaces, and varying elevations.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb as required and lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to wear required PPE and work around construction noise, dust, equipment, changing temperatures, and weather conditions.
- Ability to access active areas of construction to perform job responsibilities.
- Essential functions must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
Salary
The salary range for this position is $95,000-$150,000 per year.
