About this position
With direction from the Manager of Program Services, the Programmer Analyst will assist with the development of new software applications according to specifications provided.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Help the Business Units maintain and develop their information systems;
- Help the Business Units with projects that involve custom programming efforts;
- Ability to work with EGI Systems Analysts / Business Units on programming spec design and implementation;
- Collaborate and communicate with other IT Programmer Analysts;
- Work with the programming group to make sure we are using the most effective and efficient programming tools;
- Troubleshoot and help support day-to-day problem resolutions at Business Units;
- Provide general backup and support to EGI Information Technology Department at other EGI business units on an as needed basis.
- In conjunction with IT staff and end users, develop new software applications according to specifications provided;
- Work with end users on program-related problems / issues, bug fixes, and enhancements to existing software applications;
- Follow current programming standards / guidelines / practices developed within the EGI IT Department while contributing to continuous improvement;
- Provide Help Desk support to end users on software related issues;
- Abide by all policies and procedures established by the Company and
- Meet attendance requirements.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required in Computer Programming / Computer Science / Information Systems or equivalent knowledge based on experience;
- Three-five years’ programmer analyst experience in information systems with experience in a manufacturing environment required;
- Demonstrated programming skills and understanding of relational database design and techniques. SQL Server, Visual Basic, and .Net;
- Proactive as well as detail and results oriented with strong desire to succeed;
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills with ability to maintain good working relationships with co-workers;
- Work independently (self-directed) performing with minimal supervision; and
- Ability to adjust to a continuously changing environment.
Skills and Abilities
- Experience with .Net (Visual Basic or C#) / Visual Studio;
- SQL Server / T-SQL / SSRS experience is essential;
- Familiarity with ERP Business Systems (Infor Cloudsuite Industrial / SyteLine preferably) and business flow in a manufacturing environment;
- Knowledge of various Microsoft Office applications. Sharepoint is a plus;
- Web development, Microsoft Powershell, experience a plus;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Detailed oriented with strong analytical/problem solving skills that result in quality solutions;
- Strong organizational and time management skills;
- Ability to be “on-call” as needed;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at the highest level;
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; and
- Ability to travel (approximately 5-10% of time). The Programmer Analyst’s primary office will be at an EGI location in New Castle PA. The Programmer Analyst will be on-site in the office 100% of the time, not remote.
