NATURE OF POSITION
The job holder must also maintain effective and regular communications with the Customer Service, Warehouse and Packaging Manager, Production Managers and Supervisors, Purchasing Department, Quality and Technology Teams and Finance.
The job has the following principal tasks: Production Planning; Optimizing Service, Stock and Inventory Control; Maximizing Operational Effectiveness; Improve processes (CI) whilst evaluating risk factors.
The job holder must be familiar with planning multiple production lines/assets; various manufacturing processes; Finished Goods, WIP and Raw Materials; BOM structures; Global Customers and their requirements; and Global Supply Chains. The incumbent is expected to have a level of knowledge and understanding of product planning data and SAP transactions, and how these interact with each other and with external systems.
The job holder must be proficient at working with minimal supervision, particularly in the SAP aspects of the job, seeking advice from his/her supervisor or manager in the event of significant deviations from plan or when faced with EHS or technical problems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLES
The job holder is responsible for the following:

The creation and maintenance of the production plan, balancing supply against demand to achieve customer service goals and optimize cost levels through efficient manufacturing. Planning will involve both the monthly fixed plan and, for certain lines, detailed weekly plans. They will also manage the change to a fixed plan process to ensure production requirements are flexible and adapt to changing business requirements.

Monitor performance against the plan, determining and reporting problems to mitigate the impact as they arise.
- Create pick lists/bundles of raw materials and other components for use in production batches. Work closely with the QA function to ensure materials are being used correctly and, in the cases of trials and deviations, that all special instructions and uses are properly reflected.
- Record batch yields and raw material consumptions in SAP for all production in a timely and accurate manner. Maintain up-to-date SAP inventory records, including material codes and customer variants, batch comments, status keys, shelf-life information, material movements, etc., in coordination with Supply Chain and Quality Assurance instructions.

Through the cycle count process, maintain stock accuracy in SAP Planning, which ensures the integrity of the production and raw material scheduling process.

Support the Supply Chain Manager in the development and delivery of KPI and Business reporting. Report and highlight deviations and areas for improvement against agreed measures of performance.
- Contribute to long term manufacturing plans by assisting in longer-term rough-cut planning and by fully participating in the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process.

- Provide Procurement/suppliers with a stock demand plan based on forecasted sales and stock policy.
- Oversee and support production management in the creation and/or maintenance of material masters, bills of materials, routings, and work centers.
- Work to implement best practices; developing a culture of continuous improvement within supplier base and internal stakeholders.

Establish and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, suppliers.
Key Relationships
Responsible for developing and maintaining strong and positive partnerships with Operations, Procurement, Quality, Warehouse and Finance Teams, within the group.
Experience
Essential
-
3+ years’ experience in a production planning role
-
Excellent knowledge of Production Planning and Supply Chain processes

Proficient understanding of quality systems and standards
-
SAP experience, particularly in maintaining Material Masters and Production Planning

Strong MRP (Material Requirements Planning) experience.
Desirable

Degree qualified in related discipline.

Experience in Chemical/ Manufacturing environment

Due to the highly integrated nature of the business tube of FFIC, the individual has direct responsibility for appropriately delegated business and financial performance within his area and for the related FFIC operation. This includes compliance with all Corporate Governance, assigned Delegation of Authority, Ethics Policy, appropriate ownership, follow-up and investigation of all related reports, MOP’s, etc., to ensure fiscal and business control, etc. The matrix operation will lead to accountability in the specifically assigned area as well as for adjacent functions and for overall plant operations.
