Full Job Description

Can you rock almost any station on the line? Do you have at least 2 years experience in a hands on, full service kitchen as a leader on the line? If so we'd like to talk with you! We are seeking a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef, someone who can spend long stretches of time on the line, working a position in either Grill, Sautee, Fry or Pantry. This role will help us lead our kitchen and will be a great entry point for someone skilled who is looking to continue to grow and develop into a Sous Chef, or Chef.

Assist with the daily operations of the kitchen and provide professional leadership and direction to kitchen personnel. Ensure that all recipes, food preparations, and presentations meet restaurant’s specifications and commitment to quality. Maintain a safe, orderly and sanitized kitchen.

We are looking for Sous Chefs who:

Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a hospitality role; preferably in a full service and/or upscale restaurant concept.
Are comfortable working a station on the line through much of your shift.
Have good knife skills and prep ability.
Have the ability to supervise, coach, develops, lead & motivate employees.
Can establish, maintain and enforce consistently high performance standards.
Are capable of adapting his/her leadership style to a variety of situations and scenarios.
Have the ability to communicate effectively, including the ability to speak and write in English.
Have the ability to listen effectively, process information quickly, and transfer knowledge to others in order to ensure standards of quality are met consistently.
