Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Nurse Manager to oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of a private pediatric office.

This role combines clinical expertise with administrative leadership to ensure seamless patient flow, staff efficiency, and a high standard of family-centered care in a close-knit environment. This vital role involves overseeing patient care delivery, managing clinical support staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and fostering a culture of excellence and compassion.

A dual-reporting framework guides the practice.

The Clinical Nurse Manager will report to the Practice Administrator for daily operational, administrative and human resource needs, and will report to the Physician Partners for clinical oversight, patient safety, and medical protocols. The Clinical Nurse Manager also collaborates directly with the physician partners on clinical policies, performance metrics, patient care standards, and clinical quality.

Duties

Clinical Oversight: Manage daily clinical office operations, including clinical staff scheduling, medical supply inventory, and vaccine management (e.g., VFC program compliance).
Dual Role Care: Provide direct hands-on nursing care (triage, immunizations, and assisting in minor procedures) while simultaneously supervising the clinical team.
Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a small team of Triage Nurses (RNs) and Medical Assistants; participate in annual performance reviews and foster a supportive team culture.
Lead and supervise clinical support teams across two locations, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety.
Patient & Family Relations: Serve as a point of escalation for parent concerns and coordinate complex care for patients with chronic conditions or special needs.
Compliance & Safety: Maintain the practice’s adherence to OSHA, HIPAA, and CLIA standards; ensure all clinical records and documentation are accurate and up to date.
Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical protocols in accordance with state healthcare regulations and best practices.
Ensure adherence to infection control procedures, medication administration protocols, and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe environment.
Operational Efficiency: Collaborate directly with the Practice Administrator and Physician Partners to optimize patient workflows, manage budgets, and implement new clinical technologies

Experience

Registered Nurse (RN) with an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
Active RN License
3+ years in pediatric nursing; prior leadership experience (such as a Charge Nurse role) is highly preferred.
Current BLS and PALS certifications.
Proven management experience in a clinical setting with demonstrated leadership in nursing supervision or team management roles.
Strong familiarity with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or similar platforms; experience working with medical records and medical coding (ICD-9/10).
Excellent communication skills combined with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams while maintaining compliance with HIPAA standards.

Pay: $82,692.02 - $100,000.00 per year
