As a Cardio Vascular Technologist, you will play a critical role in assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures while ensuring patients feel informed, comfortable, and cared for throughout their experience. A typical day for a Cardio Vascular Tech may include:

Assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, including cardiac catheterizations, angiograms, angioplasties, and peripheral vascular interventions
Preparing patients for cardiovascular procedures by explaining the process, addressing questions, and ensuring their comfort, safety, and privacy throughout their care
Operating and maintaining specialized cardiovascular imaging and monitoring equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images and procedural data
Monitoring patients' cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic status, and vital signs during procedures, promptly recognizing and communicating significant changes to the care team
Maintaining a sterile procedural environment by following infection prevention protocols and supporting safe, efficient workflow in the cardiac catheterization or electrophysiology laboratory
Accurately documenting procedure details, patient assessments, medications, supplies, and equipment usage within the electronic medical record and cardiovascular information systems
Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care before, during, and after cardiovascular procedures
Performing equipment quality checks, monitoring inventory and procedural supplies, and reporting equipment issues to ensure uninterrupted patient care
Pursuing continued professional development through advanced cardiovascular education, certification opportunities, and organizational resources that support long-term career growth

To be considered for this Cardio Vascular Tech opportunity, you must:

High School Diploma.
Graduate from an accredited Cardiovascular or Radiology Technology program.
Minimum of 6 months clinical experience preferred but not required.
Current RCIS certification or RAD license or ARRT certification/registration
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through American Heart Association.
