I. Formulator Internship
Summary: Join our R&D team to gain hands-on experience in the early-stage development of pharmaceutical dosage forms. This role focuses on pre-formulation studies, excipient compatibility, and the physical characterization of drug products.
Responsibilities & Projects:
· Perform API-excipient compatibility studies and physicochemical characterization to support formulation design.
· Assist in the operation of lab-scale manufacturing equipment, such as blenders and tablet presses, for prototype development.
· Conduct literature reviews to summarize recent advancements and research in pharmaceutical formulation technologies.
· Document all experimental procedures and results in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
· Support the scale-up process by assisting in the transition from laboratory-scale experiments to pilot batches.
Desired Major(s):
Current PharmD student or BS/Master’s/Ph.D. candidate in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or Chemistry.
II. Quality Assurance (QA) Internship
Summary: This internship offers a deep dive into the Pharmaceutical Quality System (PQS). You will work closely with our QA team to ensure compliance with cGMP regulations and maintain the integrity of our manufacturing and laboratory operations.
Responsibilities & Projects:
· Support material sampling of raw materials and components in accordance with established SOPs and safety protocols.
· Assist in inventory management, ensuring proper labeling, segregation, and status tracking (Quarantine, Released, Rejected) of materials.
· Support the organization and maintenance of personnel training records, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date for cGMP audit readiness.
· Review executed laboratory notebooks for accuracy and compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
· Support environmental monitoring and data trend reporting to ensure facility compliance.
Desired Major(s):
Current PharmD student or BS/Master’s candidate in Regulatory Affairs, Biology, Chemistry, or related Life Sciences.
III. Analytical Chemist Internship
Summary: Work within our Analytical Development lab to support drug substance, intermediate and product testing. You will apply advanced instrumental techniques to ensure the quality, safety, and efficacy of our pharmaceutical pipeline.
Responsibilities & Projects:
· Utilize HPLC, GC, and UV-Vis spectroscopy for routine sample analysis and data collection, including assay, impurity and dissolution testing.
· Assist in the development and partial validation of analytical methods under the guidance of senior chemists.
· Prepare samples and collect data for ongoing stability studies.
· Maintain precise and timely laboratory records (e.g., lab notebooks, instrument logs) in accordance with GDP.
· Perform routine instrument calibration checks.
· Process raw data and assist in drafting technical summary reports for quality review.
Desired Major(s):
Current PharmD student or BS/Master’s/Ph.D. candidate in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or Chemistry.
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
