ABOUT US
We are a new, future-focused technology, career readiness, and esports education center serving middle and high school students. Our programs provide students with hands-on learning experiences in coding, artificial intelligence, digital design, engineering, 3D printing, and competitive esports.
We are not simply a gaming center. Our philosophy uses technology and esports as vehicles for developing communication, collaboration, creativity, strategic thinking, problem-solving, leadership, and career-ready skills.
We are currently building our instructional team and seeking engaging educators, technology professionals, college students, competitive gamers, and experienced esports coaches who are passionate about working with young people.
This opportunity is especially well-suited for college students studying education, computer science, technology, engineering, digital media, game design, artificial intelligence, or a related field who are interested in gaining meaningful experience in teaching, coaching, mentoring, and youth development.

Applicants do not need to be qualified in every area. Candidates should clearly identify the programs, technologies, or games they are most qualified to teach or coach.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Technology instructors will:
- Deliver engaging, hands-on lessons to middle and high school students
- Teach students how to use technology safely, responsibly, and creatively
- Guide students through individual projects, team challenges, and portfolio-ready work
- Help students understand how technical skills connect to future careers
- Differentiate instruction for beginners and more experienced students
- Maintain an organized, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
- Monitor student progress and provide meaningful feedback
- Follow established curriculum and instructional expectations
- Assist with the care, setup, and organization of classroom technology and equipment
Esports coaches will:
- Teach game fundamentals, mechanics, terminology, and strategy
- Develop players’ communication, teamwork, decision-making, and leadership skills
- Lead structured practices, drills, scrimmages, and match reviews
- Provide coaching that is constructive, age-appropriate, and growth-focused
- Promote sportsmanship, digital citizenship, and responsible gaming habits
- Support both beginning players and students interested in competitive team play
- Create team roles, practice plans, and performance goals
- Review gameplay and provide specific feedback for player improvement
- Help prepare teams for leagues, tournaments, showcases, and competitive opportunities
- Maintain a positive environment free from toxic or inappropriate gaming behavior
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates should possess:
- Strong knowledge of at least one listed technology, platform, or game
- The ability to explain concepts clearly to students with different experience levels
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Patience, professionalism, reliability, and enthusiasm
- The ability to create a welcoming environment for students from varied backgrounds
- A commitment to student safety, responsible technology use, and positive youth development
- Availability during after-school hours, evenings, or weekends
- The ability to work in person at our Westfield, New Jersey, location
College students are strongly encouraged to apply. Previous formal teaching experience is not required for candidates who demonstrate strong subject-area knowledge, professionalism, dependability, and a genuine interest in education, coaching, mentoring, or working with young people.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The following qualifications are preferred but not required:
- Experience teaching, tutoring, mentoring, coaching, or working with young people
- Current enrollment in a college or university program related to education, computer science, technology, engineering, artificial intelligence, digital media, game design, or a related field
- Professional experience in technology, education, engineering, computer science, artificial intelligence, digital design, or esports
- College coursework or a completed degree in a related field
- Competitive rank, organized team experience, tournament participation, or coaching experience in the applicant’s selected game
- Experience developing lesson plans, practice plans, projects, or student challenges
- Experience with Minecraft, Tinkercad, Bambu Studio, Bambu Lab printers, or commonly used AI platforms
- Teaching certification, coaching certification, industry credential, or relevant professional certification
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate is more than an experienced gamer or technology user. We are seeking individuals who can teach, motivate, encourage, and serve as positive role models.
Successful candidates will understand that students may arrive with very different skill levels. Some students may be using a platform or playing a game for the first time, while others may be ready for advanced projects or competitive team development. Our instructors and coaches must be able to challenge experienced students without making beginners feel intimidated or excluded.
For college students pursuing careers in education or related fields, this position provides practical experience in lesson delivery, classroom management, student engagement, mentoring, instructional planning, and program development.
SCHEDULE
This is a part-time, in-person position. Classes and practices may be scheduled during:
- Weekday afternoons Weekday evenings Saturdays School breaks and summer programming
The exact schedule will be based on program enrollment, candidate availability, and area of expertise. Most instructors and coaches will initially teach a limited number of hours per week, making this position compatible with many college schedules. Additional opportunities may become available as we expand.
COMPENSATION
Compensation is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, instructional responsibilities, and program assignment.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
Final candidates may be required to complete an interview, an instructional demonstration, a reference check, and a background screening before working with students.
