At Cliffside Recovery, we’re more than a treatment center — we’re a community dedicated to helping individuals overcome substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health challenges. We’re seeking a compassionate, skilled Clinician to join our Partial Care, Intensive Outpatient, and Outpatient programs.
What You’ll Do
- Provide person-centered care through individual, group, and family therapy.
- Help clients and their families understand the root causes of substance use and build healthy coping strategies.
- Lead therapeutic interventions using evidence-based approaches such as Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and 12-Step facilitation.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team including case managers, medical professionals, guest speakers, and administrative staff to ensure whole-person care.
- Support clients in developing relapse-prevention techniques and achieving long-term recovery goals.

Duties & Responsibilities
As a Clinician at Cliffside Recovery, you will play a critical role in supporting clients and their families through recovery. Key responsibilities include:
Clinical Care
- Conduct bio/psych/social assessments, diagnose substance use and mental health disorders, and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide direct therapy services (individual, family, couples, and group) across all levels of care (Partial Care, IOP, OP).
- Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions using established curricula on relapse prevention, co-occurring disorders, wellness, life skills, and addiction education.
- Maintain a manageable caseload of up to 12 clients while ensuring quality of care.
- Lead aftercare and discharge planning, supporting long-term recovery goals.
Documentation & Compliance
- Accurately maintain clinical records that meet state, federal, and agency standards.
- Utilize the electronic health record (EHR) for all documentation and communication.
- Conduct and document urine drug screens, breathalyzers, and missed treatment communications.
- Ensure compliance with infection control guidelines, confidentiality laws (HIPAA), and Next Wind’s code of ethics.
Collaboration & Teamwork
- Actively participate in weekly treatment team meetings to review client progress.
- Consult regularly with Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Director on client needs, incidents, and level-of-care updates.
- Collaborate with medical staff, case managers, and external providers to coordinate whole-person care.
- Maintain ongoing family contact, invite families to participate in multi-family groups, and encourage consistent involvement.
Professional Growth & Development
- Attend staff meetings, professional trainings, and clinical development sessions.
- Complete required educational tasks and competency assessments (Relias and additional assignments).
- Participate in supervision and consultation with the clinical management team.
- Demonstrate cultural competence and sensitivity in all clinical interactions.
Other Responsibilities
- Communicate professionally through email and timely follow-ups with colleagues.
- Assist with agency-wide initiatives and special projects as assigned by leadership.
