About the Role

StationMD is seeking a Massachusetts Licensed Telepsychiatrist (MD/DO) to deliver telehealth behavioral health and psychiatry care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) across the United States. This fully remote telepsychiatry position allows experienced physicians specializing in psychiatry, behavioral health, or mental health to provide high-quality virtual care while working from home.

StationMD clinicians are board-certified medical professionals trained to provide specialized care for patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities, a population that is frequently underserved in traditional healthcare systems. Through telemedicine and telepsychiatry services, our providers help patients receive timely psychiatric and medical care, reduce unnecessary emergency room visits, and improve long-term health outcomes.

As a Remote Massachusetts Licensed Psychiatrist, you will evaluate and treat patients via secure telehealth technology, collaborate with caregivers and residential support teams, and help expand access to mental health services nationwide. Our clinicians deliver compassionate, high-quality telemedicine services 24/7, addressing both urgent and non-urgent medical needs. Through timely, specialized virtual care, we help reduce unnecessary emergency room visits, improve overall health outcomes, and ensure individuals with I/DD receive the thoughtful, expert attention they deserve. In addition to on-demand urgent care, StationMD provides scheduled primary care and psychiatry services via telemedicine. Together, this comprehensive suite of services expands access to quality healthcare while significantly lowering avoidable medical costs.

Responsibilities – Telehealth Psychiatrist (MD/DO)

As a Remote Telepsychiatrist, you will:

Provide telepsychiatry and behavioral health care during scheduled telehealth shifts
Conduct virtual psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments
Diagnose and treat psychiatric conditions using evidence-based practices
Develop and manage individualized treatment plans
Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications in accordance with clinical guidelines
Deliver patient-centered care tailored to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD)
Collaborate with caregivers, residential staff, and interdisciplinary clinical teams
Document patient encounters and treatment plans within telehealth platforms and EMR systems
Commit a minimum of 10 scheduled hours per week in re-occurring blocks
Participate in ongoing professional development and clinical education
Attend at least 70% of monthly team meeting
Work with our credentialing and licensing team to maintain multi-state licensure, Medicaid enrollment, and insurance credentialing

Qualifications – Telepsychiatrist (MD/DO)

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
Completion of an accredited psychiatry residency program
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in psychiatry
Experience in telepsychiatry, behavioral health, or mental health preferred
Experience treating individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) preferred
Active, unrestricted Massachusetts medical license prior to scheduling shifts
Willingness to obtain additional multi-state licenses (with credentialing team support)
Active DEA license
Clean malpractice and sanction history
U.S. citizen or Green Card holder
Must reside within the continental United States
Comfortable practicing in a remote telehealth / telemedicine environment
