Resident Care Director (RN) - Assisted Living
About the Role
A premier senior living community in Union County, NJ is seeking a Resident Care Director (RN) to lead clinical operations and resident wellness. This is a highly visible department head role ideal for a confident nurse leader who enjoys balancing clinical leadership, regulatory excellence, and strong team development.
Resident Care Director (RN) - Assisted Living
Job Description:

Lead all clinical services, nursing operations, and resident wellness programming
Oversee assessments, care planning, and Individualized Service Plans (ISPs)
Coordinate care with physicians, pharmacy partners, therapy, hospice, and other services
Direct medication management and infection prevention programs
Drive Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives
Ensure compliance with applicable clinical and regulatory standards
Recruit, train, coach, and develop a high-performing clinical team
Manage staffing, scheduling, and departmental budgeting
Partner with leadership/admissions to support appropriate move-ins and exceptional resident outcomes

Resident Care Director (RN) - Assisted Living
Requirements:

Active RN license (required)
2+ years RN experience (required)
1+ year nursing leadership/management experience (required)
Working knowledge of assisted living regulations and resident care compliance
Senior living/assisted living/LTC/memory care/home health experience (preferred)
Strong clinical assessment skills, leadership presence, and communication
