Full Job Description

We are looking for a talented and motivated AM Pastry Cook/Baker to join our growing team at The Purple Pig Oak Brook.

This is a fast-paced, scratch-driven kitchen focused on quality, consistency, and strong systems. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their craft, works clean and organized, and wants to continue learning and growing in a professional kitchen environment.
This role is ideal for a pastry cook or baker who enjoys early mornings, production work, and being part of a team that values creativity, execution, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
Daily pastry and bakery production
Bread, dough, cookie, cake, lamination, and dessert prep
Following recipes, pars, and production systems
Proper organization, labeling, and sanitation
Assisting with seasonal menu development and specials
Maintaining consistency and quality in a high-volume environment

What We’re Looking For:
Experience in pastry, bakery, or dessert production preferred
Strong sense of urgency and organization
Ability to work independently in early morning shifts
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Reliable, consistent, and detail-oriented
Experience in high-volume or scratch kitchens is a major plus
