When you join the Presales Technical Consultant team at HP, you’ll be working closely with other Technical Consultants and sales Account Managers to help HP customers understand the value of HP hardware and solutions, while removing technical barriers to the selling process. This is a fast paced, highly collaborative environment with team members who push hard toward a common goal.
As a Presales Technical Consultant focused on Cloud Client, you will work directly with customers to demonstrate HP Cloud hardware, services, and solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Understanding customer requirements, you will help position technical solutions to solve customer’s business challenges.
- Presales Technical Consultants provide technical presentations to customers on a wide array of HP solutions (including HP Cloud Endpoint Manager) and build trust as technical advisors.
- You will work closely with the sales team to win new business while retaining existing customers.
- Build strong relationships with technical decision makers, have a thorough understanding of the IT industry and key technologies, and possess strong communication skills.
- Deep knowledge of HP services, solutions, and hardware.
- Possess or have a plan to acquire industry certifications in the areas of IT security, Modern Deployment and workforce solutions.
This role specifically deals with Cloud Client hardware and solutions. Direct experience with HP Device Manager, HP CEM, and industry cloud solutions like AWS and others preferred.

Education & Experience Recommended
- Four-year or Graduate Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
- Typically has 2-4 years of work experience, preferably in technical selling, consultative selling, account management, or a related field or an advanced degree with little or no work experience.

The on-target earnings (OTE) range for this role is $75,000 to $95,050
annually with a 80%/20% (salary/incentive) mix. There are additional
opportunities for pay in the form of bonuses and/or equity (applies to United
States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related
knowledge, skills, and experience.
