Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote childhood development and learning through play, exploration, and structured activities.
- Provide attentive care to infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, ensuring their safety, comfort, and emotional well-being at all times.
- Manage classroom activities efficiently while maintaining a positive environment that encourages social skills and behavior management.
- Monitor children’s progress and communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's development and milestones.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures and sanitation standards.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized care in collaboration with specialists when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, attendance, and any incidents or concerns to ensure smooth classroom operations.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar settings.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques.
- Certification in first aid and CPR to respond confidently to emergencies.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to foster collaborative relationships with parents, colleagues, and children.
