We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Facilities Manager / Operations Manager to oversee our shop, fleet, technicians, and daily operations. This is a leadership position for someone who thrives on organization, accountability, process improvement, and building high-performing teams.

Position Summary
The Facilities Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of our shop, field technicians, company vehicles, equipment, and operational workflows. This individual will ensure technicians are equipped for success, jobs are completed efficiently, proposals are tracked, and company procedures are consistently followed. Responsible for hiring technicians and installation crew.
This position reports directly to ownership and plays a key role in improving productivity, customer satisfaction, and overall company performance.
Primary Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, supervise, and support a team of 10+ technicians and shop personnel.
- Conduct daily morning meetings to review schedules, safety topics, company expectations, and daily objectives.
- Coach, mentor, and develop technicians through ongoing training and accountability.
- Monitor employee performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive, professional, and safety-focused work environment.
- Hiring process for new employees
Operations Management
- Oversee daily shop operations and ensure organization and cleanliness.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for technicians, warehouse operations, and company processes.
- Create and maintain efficient workflows that improve productivity and consistency.
- Monitor repair jobs from scheduling through completion.
- Ensure work orders are accurate and completed on time.
Fleet & Inventory Management
- Design and maintain standardized truck layouts for tools, equipment, and materials.
- Establish inventory control procedures for tools, parts, and consumable materials.
- Conduct regular truck and warehouse inspections.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Reduce tool loss and improve inventory accountability.
Performance & Reporting
- Monitor repair job progress and completion rates.
- Track proposal acceptance rates and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Analyze technician productivity and operational performance using key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Prepare weekly operational reports for ownership.
- Recommend process improvements that increase efficiency and profitability.
Customer Service
- Support technicians in resolving complex field issues.
- Ensure quality workmanship and excellent customer experiences.
- Assist in resolving customer concerns when necessary.
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 5 years of management or operations experience.
- Experience supervising teams of 10 or more employees.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and organizational skills.
- Experience developing operational procedures and workflows.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred
- Experience in the chimney, construction, HVAC, plumbing, roofing, masonry, or home service industry.
- Experience with service management software or CRM platforms.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly preferred.
- Inventory, warehouse, or fleet management experience.
- OSHA or safety training experience.

Within your first 90 days, you will:
