About the Role:

Madison Ophthalmology PLLC is looking for a friendly and organized Front Desk Coordinator to be the welcoming face of our practice in New York, NY. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated eye care team where your customer service skills and attention to detail will make a real difference in the patient experience.

Responsibilities:

Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional manner
Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using practice management software
Answer and route incoming phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries
Verify insurance eligibility and collect patient co-pays and payments
Maintain and update accurate patient records and demographic information
Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the office
Handle medical records requests, referrals, and prior authorizations as needed

Requirements:

1+ years of front desk or administrative experience in a medical or healthcare setting preferred
Familiarity with medical insurance verification and billing processes
Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) or practice management software
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Ophthalmology or specialty medical office experience is a plus
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred
