Appointment Scheduler - OB/Gyn

Overview:
Square Care Medical Group, LLP in partnership with Downtown Women OBGYN, located in SoHo, is currently seeking a a professional, organized and detail-oriented Medical Appointment Scheduler to join our team. As a call center professional, you play a key role in representing our practice. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical office settings and possess strong communication and scheduling skills.

Job Responsibilities:

Professionally handle high volume of incoming departmental calls
Coordinate and manage patient appointments efficiently and accurately
Respond to inquiries regarding appointments
Maintain accurate up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Communicate effectively with patients to provide appointment details and answer inquiries
Obtain precise demographic and insurance information for all patients
Maintain online patient scheduling daily
Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
Follow established workflow protocols
Ensure proper visit types for patient appointments
Assists with practice maintenance tasks
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized area
Perform other administrative duties as needed
Maintains all compliance standards as determined by the Medical Group

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required
Prior experience with Medical Appointment Scheduling, Medical Reception, or similar role preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures are beneficial
EMR (Athenahealth) and Microsoft knowledge preferred
Excellent verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role
Strong clerical skills and attention to detail
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and Medicare billing practices

Job Types: Full-time

Work Setting: Private practice, Office setting
