Mental Health Clinician

Mosaic Mental Health – Riverdale (North Bronx), NY

Mosaic Mental Health is an award-winning, not-for-profit agency serving the mental health needs of people in the Bronx, Upper Manhattan and Westchester since 1959. It is our mission at Mosaic Mental Health to serve families and individuals from all walks of life, to improve the lives of those with mental health difficulties, substance dependency and other isolating conditions, and to enhance the quality of life in all the communities we serve. At Mosaic, we believe that every mind matters.

This is an opportunity for a mental health professional to join a dynamic, interdisciplinary team at Mosaic Mental Health. The clinician will provide comprehensive mental health treatment services to patients in the Mosaic community who have psychiatric and substance use diagnoses. The clinician will provide clinical supervision to LMSWs or MHC-LPs.

This position offers a tremendous learning opportunity, with the ability to work both in person and remotely.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

Opportunity to provide therapy to a diverse population of clients including individual, couples, family, child and adolescent, and group therapy
Provide services according to Evidence Based Practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, etc.
Opportunity to work with Alcohol and Substance Use Disorder as well as co-occurring disorders
Active participation in interdisciplinary case conferences
Collaborate with prescribers around medication management
Develop and implement treatment plans
Manage adherence to treatment for caseload
Maintain and update clinical records in compliance with Maintain records in compliance with the Office of Mental Health (OMH) and agency regulation
Participate in weekly supervisory, administrative, clinical and utilization review meetings
Provide supervision to supervisees
Conduct new client intakes as needed

Qualifications

Master's degree in social work, or Mental Health Counseling required
New York State licensure (LCSW or LMHC) strongly preferred, though LMSW candidates with relevant experience will be reviewed
Medicare-enrolled clinicians strongly preferred
Experience providing psychotherapy
Supervisory experience preferred
Strong computer skills and knowledge of service documentation required
Familiarity with Electronic Health Records
Bilingual preferred
A background check and fingerprinting are required

Pay: $61.00 - $86.00 per hour
