Full Job Description

We're seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Content Generator to join our team. This role requires a passion for music, particularly Old School hip hop and R&B, a command of AI and the ability to develop and execute engaging social media strategies. You will be responsible for helping crafting compelling audio-visual content, managing social media platforms, and planning events, including our 42nd-anniversary celebration scheduled for end of the year 2025.

Tuff City Records is an independent record label in midtown Manhattan. Tuff City Records is a 40-year veteran company with an extensive master catalog of R&B, Rap, Funk and Jazz spanning 60 years.

Description

Position Title: Social Media Content Generator

Rate: commensurate with experience

Schedule: Variable up to 25 hours per week during business hours.

Location: On site, Midtown West

Responsibilities

Social Media

o Create and curate engaging content (text, images, video) tailored to different social media platforms.

o Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and fan engagement.

o Stay up-to-date on social media trends and emerging technologies.

o Sync content with visual media (essential).

o Monitor social media channels and respond to comments and messages.

o Analyze social media performance and make data-driven recommendations.

Event Planning

o Help plan and execute our 42nd-anniversary event ("Deuce" theme).

o Oversee product management of physical products, film, and merchandise related to events.

o Coordinate with vendors, venues

Qualifications

o Proven experience in social media management and event planning.

o Deep understanding and passion for hip hop and R&B music and culture.

o Strong writing and communication skills.

o Ability to create visually appealing content.

o Experience syncing content with visual media.

o Experience in product management is a plus.

Salary

$16.5 - $25 per hour
