Job Overview

Hudson VU Rooftop + Green Fig

Hudson VU Rooftop and Green Fig are seeking a creative, organized, and proactive Marketing Manager to lead the day-to-day marketing, promotional, and public relations efforts for both venues. This is an on-site role that requires regular presence at both locations, with occasional evening and weekend hours to support events, activations, and content opportunities.

The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of restaurants and hospitality, and is equally comfortable creating engaging content, building relationships with media and local partners, pitching stories and events to publications, and developing thoughtful promotional strategies that drive awareness and attendance.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Promotions

Develop and execute marketing strategies for Hudson VU Rooftop and Green Fig, with a focus on increasing brand awareness, guest engagement, and event attendance.
Create and manage promotional campaigns for seasonal programming, special events, holidays, ticketed experiences, and private events.
Develop detailed marketing timelines and promotional plans to ensure each event and seasonal activation is properly promoted across all relevant channels.
Identify opportunities to maximize key dates, seasonal moments, holidays, and cultural events through creative programming and timely marketing campaigns.
Work closely with the operations and events teams to ensure marketing initiatives align with the guest experience and overall business goals.
Track campaign performance and adjust strategies based on engagement, ticket sales, reservations, and overall results.

Media & Public Relations

Proactively build and maintain relationships with local, regional, and hospitality-focused media outlets, editors, writers, influencers, and event platforms.
Pitch Hudson VU and Green Fig to media outlets for inclusion in relevant articles, event roundups, "best of" lists, seasonal guides, rooftop guides, holiday features, and other editorial opportunities.
Identify opportunities to get the venues featured in publications such as local lifestyle, food & beverage, entertainment, tourism, and event media.
Create compelling pitches and press materials for new events, seasonal launches, special programming, and venue announcements.
Maintain an organized media contact list and track outreach, follow-ups, confirmed placements, and upcoming editorial opportunities.
Coordinate media visits, press previews, influencer visits, and other promotional opportunities as needed.
Stay current on local media calendars, editorial deadlines, trending topics, and opportunities for timely pitches.

Social Media & Content

Manage and maintain social media presence across relevant platforms, including Instagram and TikTok.
Create and coordinate engaging content that reflects the individual identities and experiences of Hudson VU and Green Fig.
Develop content calendars that support ongoing marketing initiatives, events, holidays, and seasonal programming.
Create graphics and promotional materials using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
Capture and coordinate photo and video content on-site when needed.
Collaborate with photographers, videographers, designers, and other creative partners as necessary.
Ensure all digital content is accurate, timely, on-brand, and aligned with current promotions and events.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in marketing, public relations, communications, hospitality marketing, event marketing, or a related field.
Strong understanding of social media platforms, particularly Instagram and TikTok.
Proficiency with Canva; experience with Adobe Creative Suite is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to successfully pitch and secure media coverage, event listings, editorial placements, or other forms of publicity.
Existing relationships with local NYC media, hospitality publications, event platforms, influencers, or lifestyle outlets is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects, campaigns, and deadlines simultaneously.
Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to identify opportunities without waiting to be directed.
Strong understanding of NYC's hospitality, nightlife, restaurant, event, and entertainment landscape.
Comfortable working on-site at both Hudson VU Rooftop and Green Fig.
Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends based on events and marketing needs.
