Compensation

Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Status : Full Time 9.5 hr 4 Day

Shift: 10 HOUR DAY SHIFT

Department: Echocardiography

Position Summary

Summary:
To perform Echocardiograms, Carotid Dopplers, TEEs and Stress Echoes efficiently and accurately in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Responsibilities:
Education Required

Must complete in-house orientation program
High school diploma required
Graduate of one year course in ultrasound technologies which includes clinical component and/or on year experience doing echocardiograms.

Experience And Skills

Excellent interpersonal skills
Speaks, reads and writes English
Clinical experience and/or skills as relevant to area of practice.
Basic knowledge of normal/abnormal anatomy and physiology.
Good oral and written communications kills. Good interpersonal skills.

License/Certifications

ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) or CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) - All
FE Certification (Fetal Echocardiography) in fetal echocardiography issued by the ARDMS within 2 years of hire is strongly recommended.(Peds only)
PE Certification (Pediatric Echocardiography) in pediatric echocardiography issued by the ARDMS or CCI strongly recommended.(Peds only)

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn
Must be able to lift, position, push and transfer patients and equipment.
