Kiko is a restaurant in Hudson Square from husband-and-wife team chef Alex Chang and sommelier Lina Goujjane. Marking their first restaurant together, Alex and Lina opened Kiko in November 2024 and it has quickly become a beloved dining destination in downtown Manhattan. Located between SoHo, TriBeCa, and the West Village, Kiko anchors itself in one of Manhattan’s most dynamic districts, serving as a sought after destination for authentic and imaginative cuisine.
The menu harmoniously blends globally inspired dishes with Asian accents, balancing innovation,
comfort and creativity. Chang draws on his multicultural background – born in Hong Kong to a Chinese
father and Mexican-American mother, and international training – Pujol in Mexico City and restaurants in
Japan and Europe, to create dishes that are hyper-seasonal, vibrant, and distinctive. Guests can expect
flavorful dishes like Dungeness crab with spicy crab fat mayonnaise, sushi rice, nori; signature shareables like the Thrice Fried Chicken Wing and the Chicory and Red Cabbage Salad; with exhilarating takes on classic rice dishes like Maine Lobster Crispy Rice, and a selection of premium steaks and chops with Asian inflections.
Kiko’s beverage program is overseen by co-owner and sommelier Lina Goujjane, who draws inspiration
from her French and Moroccan heritage, as well has her New York City upbringing working in her family’s formerly owned West Village restaurant, One if by Land. Lina’s natural talent for wine was cultivated while working at renowned restaurants like Sushi Noz and the Nomad Hotel, where she developed her sommelier expertise.
Kiko has received 2 Stars in the NY Times, and recently was included in Esquire's "Best New Restaurants" in 2025.
