Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Support Specialist to join our team. This role is integral in providing assistance and guidance to individuals facing various challenges related to mental health and behavioral issues. The ideal candidate will possess strong crisis intervention skills and a passion for helping others. You will work collaboratively with clients, offering support in navigating their circumstances while promoting recovery and well-being.

Duties

Provide crisis intervention and management to clients in need of immediate support.
Conduct assessments to identify clients' needs and develop appropriate action plans.
Offer behavioral health support through counseling sessions, focusing on mental health and addiction issues.
Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage positive change in clients' lives.
Mentor individuals by providing guidance and resources for personal development.
Maintain accurate records of client interactions using EHR systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
Collaborate with other professionals, including social workers and healthcare providers, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Proven experience in crisis intervention, crisis management, and behavioral health support.
Familiarity with mental health counseling techniques and addiction counseling practices.
Strong mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and inspire clients.
Proficient in using EHR systems for documentation and case management.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a compassionate approach to client interactions.
