The Bryant Park Hotel is currently seeking a highly service-oriented and organized Guest Service Agent with luxury hotel experience to join our award-winning team. As a Guest Service Agent, you will be responsible for delivering first class guest experiences at our front desk and lobby area. This position requires a strong passion for hospitality, a genuine ability to connect with people, multitasking, and exceptional listening and communication skills.
JOB TITLE: Guest Service Agent

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Written, spoken and reading proficiency in the English language.
- Passionate about hospitality and service
- At least two years of Luxury Hotel front desk experience. Rate of pay is tied to level of experience.
- Experience with Opera Cloud Property Management System greatly preferred
JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. The ability to display, at all times, a friendly, courteous and professional manner in all dealings with guests, patrons and other employees.
2. The ability to welcome and register hotel guests with an emphasis on fulfilling requests, following special handling instructions and adhering to established credit policies and procedures.
3. The ability to quote and be familiar with room and rate availability for current and future dates.
4. The ability to accept reservations, changes and cancellations in the absence of reservations staff.
5. The ability to select and block rooms for arriving guests; pre-register individuals or groups as required; assist in escorting guests to the elevators or their rooms as requested.
6. The ability to function as bell/door staff to coordinate the efficient handling of guest luggage and follow up on guest requests.
7. The ability to proactively handle guest problems or complaints and communicate all pertinent details of such.
8. The ability to utilize the computer system in running daily reports and in blocking special requests.
9. The ability to keep all support departments informed of necessary information or requests.
10. The ability to check guests out of the hotel in accordance with procedures; make change, cash checks, exchange foreign currency, and post charges to guest accounts.
11. The ability to maintain a balanced bank assigned to you from the hotel.
12. The ability to reconcile all transactions at the close of the shift and to cash out.
13. The ability to recite hours of operation of all hotel facilities and services.
14. Be able share information on the local area and attractions with guests
15. The flexibility to works shifts as a bellman/doorman as needed.
16. The ability to handle hotel emergency procedures and situations with maturity and professionalism.
17. Willingness to be trained as FDNY certified Fire Safety Director, pass written and on site exams, and serve as Fire Safety Director as needed
18. The ability to perform tasks and projects as delegated by Management

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
