Full Job Description

Overview

It takes someone special to join our team of over 650 qualified staff providing services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The mission of AVSP, for more than 50 years, is to empower people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to lead fuller lives through comprehensive programs and services offering guidance, support, and opportunities for achieving independence, self-fulfillment, and full community inclusion.

The following position is currently available:

Front End Supervisor at the Harvest Cafe - Wednesday-Sunday 7A-3:30P

Duties
Supervise front-of-house operations, including customer service, food presentation, and overall ambiance.
Lead and train staff in food handling, serving techniques, POS systems and customer engagement.
Manage shift schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet service demands efficiently.
Oversee inventory control for food and beverage supplies, ensuring proper stock levels and minimizing waste.
Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling procedures and POS system operations.
Enforce food safety standards and hygiene regulations to maintain compliance with health department guidelines.
Support staff training initiatives focused on hospitality excellence, team management, and food industry best practices.
Collaborate with kitchen management to coordinate food production, catering events, and special service requirements such as banquets or coffee service.
Wait Staff duties as needed.

Qualifications:

HS/GED - some college preferred
2 years of supervising Front of the House, Wait Staff and Bartending restaurant experience
Experience working with individuals with DD/ID preferred
