SV has expanded to Santa Monica in 2024 and New York City in 2025. Our exclusive properties offer an oasis of tranquility, luxury, and personalized service to our esteemed members.

Position Purpose

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant (Accounts Payable Focus) to join our accounting team. This position plays a critical role in supporting daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely processing of vendor payments. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, excellent organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

Code, review, and enter vendor invoices and recurring monthly invoices into the Accounts Payable system.
Scan and upload invoices received outside of the AP email inbox.
Coordinate with vendors to transition invoice submissions to the AP email inbox.
Updated weekly Bill.com transactions to reconcile accounts payable invoices paid by credit card.
Prepare check runs and the supporting documentation for internal review and cash disbursement approval.
Maintain vendor records, including W-9 forms, payment information, and verify payment details.
Separate and track purchase order (PO) and non-purchase order invoices.
Reconcile monthly vendor statement and prepare month end accruals.
Prepare 1099 forms for vendors and contractors.
Support ad hoc accounting projects and finance initiatives.
Participate in departmental meetings and provide financial insights as needed.
Assist with general accounting functions, filing, scanning, and document management.
Support mailings and other administrative tasks within the Accounting Department.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.
Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and data analysis functions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Hospitality industry accounting experience is preferred.
Experience with Restaurant365 accounting software is preferred.

Physical Requirements

Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, and reach while performing routine office tasks.
Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds, including files, office supplies, and packages.
Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and through electronic communication.
Ability to maintain focus and accuracy while managing detailed financial information in a fast-paced office environment.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
