Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a clinically skilled Clinical Intake Coordinator to join the team at Hope Springs Psychotherapy. The ideal candidate will serve as the first clinical point of contact for prospective clients — conducting thorough intake assessments, triaging clinical needs, and ensuring a warm and seamless transition into care. This role requires both clinical acumen and a genuine commitment to client-centered service, and offers a meaningful pathway toward a Clinical Supervisor role as the right candidate grows with the practice.

At Hope Springs Psychotherapy, we believe in the power of understanding and empathy. Based in New York City, our group private practice specializes in offering culturally-informed psychotherapy for adults, couples, older teens, and families. Whether a client is grappling with life’s transitions, cultural identity, or seeking a supportive space to rediscover themselves, we’re here to guide them. Our growing team of five clinicians, led by Ladi Agahiu, LCSW, and supported by our operations and client care staff, is dedicated to helping clients unearth their true selves and achieve their mental, emotional, and behavioral growth goals.

Responsibilities

Manage and respond to all new client inquiries via email and phone in a timely and professional manner.
Conduct clinical intake assessments to evaluate presenting concerns, mental health history, and level of care needs.
Triage prospective clients and determine appropriate care pathways, including referrals when services are not the right fit.
Match clients with the appropriate therapist based on clinical need, specialization, and availability.
Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of all intake assessments and client communications in the practice’s EHR system, in accordance with HIPAA and practice policies.
Communicate regularly with the clinical team regarding caseload capacity and client assignments.

Experience & Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in clinical intake, triage, or related mental health service coordination required.
LCSW, LMSW, or current enrollment in an accredited MSW or related clinical graduate program preferred.
Demonstrated experience working effectively with the Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) community is required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to build rapport with diverse populations
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and telehealth platforms is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple intake pipelines simultaneously.
Commitment to maintaining strict client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Supervision & Growth

Pre-licensed candidates will receive in-house clinical supervision provided by our Clinical Director. Upon obtaining full licensure (LMSW or LCSW), the right candidate will be eligible to grow into a Clinical Supervisor role within the practice.
