Empire Center for Special Surgery, an innovative surgical center opening soon in Staten Island, is extending an invitation to experienced Patient Care Representative Associates (Medical Receptionists) to join our dynamic and collaborative team. Patient Care Representative Role:

Answer multi-line phones, directing callers appropriately, and addressing their needs.
Greet and register patients upon arrival, obtaining essential information, including insurance details.
Maintain the appearance of the front desk area and lobby.
Extend a warm welcome and assistance to doctors, residents, vendors, and other visitors.
Process payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits.
Keep specific logs related to duties.
Collaborate effectively with all departments to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of patients.
Foster communication up, down, and across the chain of command.
Possess basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Learn and utilize software and technology such as E.M.R.
Conduct calls to remind patients and surgeons of upcoming procedures.
Provide patients with necessary support and guidance.
Cross-train in various departments for a comprehensive skill set.

Patient Care Representative Qualifications and Skills:

Educational/Experience Requirements: Front Desk or other Administrative experience in a medical office is essential.
English proficiency is required.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
