Full Job Description

40 Hours/week M-F 8:30am-5pm ET
This is a contract-to-hire position.
Reporting Mode: 100% remote from anywhere in the United States
Hourly Pay Range: $57-$62.50/hour w2
Salary Range if converted permanent: $100,000-$105,000 plus 10% bonus

We are looking for an experienced QA Business Analyst (ETL/ELT) to support our client's data imports and databases that feed Data Analytics and Software teams. This role spends a significant amount of time on quality assurance of production data import files and investigating production data load errors. You will also play a hands-on role in requirements definition, data validation, testing, and deployment support with data-integrations and data load processes.

Core Responsibilities

Partner with IT teams, leadership, and end users to design automation opportunities, improve workflows, and communicate project progress
Create source-to-target data mapping analysis
Lead data requirements workshops with business owners and stakeholders
Develop and execute test plans; conduct data quality assurance and validation activities
Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including scheduling, execution, and formal approvals
Create and maintain end-user guides, technical documentation, and process documentation
Maintain detailed project records including requirements, decisions, action items, timelines, test artifacts, and meeting documentation
Participate in and facilitate project meetings, providing status updates and issue resolution
Recognize project delays or risks early and take corrective action to keep initiatives moving forward
Own the investigation and resolution of technical and operational issues
Analyze and resolve data issues using tools such as Excel, PostgreSQL/SQL, Python, and JSON
Troubleshoot across system layers, from application functionality to database structures
Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis to support business and technical decisions
Apply agile modeling techniques (process flows, data models, system diagrams) to clearly communicate requirements to engineering teams

Required Experience & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline
Minimum of 8 years of experience in a Quality Assurance, Technical Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role
Working knowledge of data integration (ETL/ELT), data warehousing, and reporting frameworks.
Advanced experience creating SQL queries (joins, where clauses, group by).
