Senior Accountant / CPA – Nassau County, NY

A well-established and growing Nassau County CPA firm is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant or CPA to join our team. The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of public accounting experience, a strong technical foundation across tax and assurance services, and the confidence to operate with a high degree of autonomy.

What You'll Do:

Lead and execute audits, reviews, and compilations across a diverse client portfolio
Prepare and review complex business and individual income tax returns
Oversee year-end closings and provide strategic guidance to clients
Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients, delivering insights that go beyond compliance
Mentor and support junior staff as needed

What You Bring:

Active CPA license required
7+ years of experience in a public accounting firm environment
Deep proficiency in tax preparation, with Lacerte experience strongly preferred
Advanced skills in QuickBooks and Excel
Proven ability to plan, manage, and execute attest engagements (audit, review, compilation)
Strong client relationship and communication skills
Self-directed, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple engagements simultaneously
