Full Job Description

Property Management Company (West Village) is seeking individual for an Accounts Payable specialist/coordinator position to assist our accounts payable department.

The ideal candidate will assist with processing vendor/contractor invoices along with an advantage of gaining excellent knowledge and experience of property management accounting. You must handle vendor’s inquiry, analyze and maintain vendor’s account. You must be organized and detail oriented. Your main focus will be in Accounting; however, you will be required to assist with other administrative duties throughout the office/in various departments.

· Accurately key, process, and pay invoices within pre-determined time allotments

· Match corresponding invoice back-up documentation

· Perform ad-hoc assignments as needed

· High volume accounts payable

· Analyze vendor accounts and negotiates extended terms with vendors when cash is restricted

· Prepare accounts payable checks

· Print all accounts payable reports and maintain all accounts payable files

· Prepare annual 1099/1096 filings

· Responsible for vendor maintenance

· Assist with accounts receivable and special projects, as necessary

· Available to multi task

· Work as a team player on own based on tasks assigned

· Perform daily and monthly treasury tasks, including: weekly payment runs, manual wire payments, posting of manual payments to the general ledger, daily cash reconciliation, other Treasury tasks as needed

Proficiency in Excel is required. Experience in Yardi Voyager is a plus. Applicants must have a clean driver's license. Complete background check will be performed.
