Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Cafe Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional food and beverage service in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, extensive knowledge of food service operations, and a passion for hospitality. This role involves overseeing daily cafe operations, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction, while managing staff and maintaining efficient workflow.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily cafe operations, including food preparation, serving, and customer service to ensure a seamless experience.
Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to foster a motivated and efficient team.
Oversee inventory control, ordering supplies, and managing food and beverage stock levels to minimize waste and control costs.
Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate cash handling and sales processing.
Ensure compliance with food safety standards and sanitation regulations.
Coordinate kitchen activities including food production, catering, banquets, and special events.
Monitor quality control to uphold the highest standards of food presentation and taste.
Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and maintain excellent customer service standards.
Assist with budgeting, cost control, and overall management of the cafe’s financial performance.
Lead staff training sessions on food handling, safety procedures, and service excellence.
Implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and guest satisfaction.

Experience

Proven management experience in full service restaurant or casual dining environments; fine dining is a plus.
Extensive background in kitchen and hospitality management.
Demonstrated supervisory experience with team management, interviewing, training & development.
Experience in inventory control, budgeting, food safety standards, and food industry best practices.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive work environment.
Background in culinary arts or food service management preferred; barista or coffee experience is advantageous.
