We are looking for a responsible Pastry Chef , someone who has at least 3 years of experience working with food in the food industry. The job will include making Gummies and Chocolates.
The successful candidate is a team player and flexible in job duties, willing to go with the flow and works well with everyone to accomplish the tasks at hand. Also seeking great attitude, hand dexterity, ability to move from one task to another with efficiency and standing for long periods of time. This includes...
- Carry out the day-to-day assignments and tasks of our CBD and Hemp manufacturing processes.
- Operating and maintaining facility systems/equipment.
- Data collection and record keeping throughout daily operations.
Requirements: Skills & Abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, design, and execute high-quality pastries, cakes, chocolates, and confections.
- Specialize in chocolate work (tempering, molding, sculpting, glazing, etc.) to create visually stunning, edible art pieces.
- Collaborate with the head pastry team to develop new seasonal items and limited-edition chocolate creations.
- Maintain an organized, clean kitchen and adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ensure all desserts meet consistency, quality, and aesthetic standards.
- Assist in managing inventory, ordering ingredients, and keeping track of supplies for chocolate work and pastry preparation.
- Assist in training junior pastry staff on chocolate techniques and pastry skills.
- Stay up-to-date with trends in pastry and chocolate work to continuously innovate and elevate our offerings.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Chocolate Specialist in a professional kitchen or bakery.
- Strong expertise in chocolate work, including tempering, molding, and designing chocolate pieces (truffles, bonbons, sculptures).
- In-depth knowledge of pastry techniques, dessert plating, and flavor pairing.
- Creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about both pastry artistry and the science behind it.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Culinary degree or equivalent training is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- This position requires: lifting, walking, bending, and reaching.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Able to lift up to 25lbs regularly, 50lbs infrequently.
- Perform daily repetitive tasks.'
