Full Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Associate Advisor/Paraplanner to provide dedicated planning and administrative support to one lead Financial Advisor, working alongside an established administrative team. This role is focused on financial plan preparation, client meeting support, and execution of planning and investment‑related tasks and pursuit of becoming a full-time financial advisor. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, office‑based environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and update financial plans, projections, and scenario analyses based on advisor direction
Gather, organize, and maintain client financial data (assets, liabilities, income, insurance, statements, tax documents)
Create client‑ready materials for meetings including summaries, reports, and follow‑ups
Assist with account paperwork, service requests, and transaction processing
Support advisor during client meetings through note‑taking and task follow‑up
Coordinate with administrative staff to ensure accurate execution and documentation
Maintain detailed and compliant client records within CRM and internal systems
Track outstanding client and advisor action items and ensure timely completion
Adhere to firm policies and financial services regulatory requirements
This is a full‑time, fully in‑office role based in New York, NY

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or related field

or minimum 1 year of related paraplanner or financial services experience

Candidates without existing securities licenses must commit to completing the SIE, Series 66 and Series 7 examinations within six (6) months of employment.
Prior experience in a financial services or wealth management office environment preferred
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools
Experience using CRM systems and financial planning or reporting software
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Professional written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to work independently while supporting an advisor’s practice
