We're looking to add Application Developers to our database for future permanent opportunities in New York. These roles could involve developing and maintaining software applications using Java and Python, working across full-stack development to deliver solutions that meet business needs.

What you would do

Typical responsibilities could include:

Developing and maintaining applications using Java and Python across front-end and back-end systems
Writing clean, well-documented code and participating in peer code reviews
Contributing to software architecture discussions and design decisions for assigned components
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into working solutions
Troubleshooting, debugging and optimizing application performance
Following development methodologies and best practices to ensure code quality and maintainability
Supporting the deployment and monitoring of applications in production environments

What you could bring

Most roles of this type require the following:

2–5 years of professional software development experience
Strong proficiency in Java and Python
Experience with software development methodologies and version control systems
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
Solid understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns
Ability to write, test and maintain clean, efficient code

Nice-to-have qualifications could include:

AWS Certified Developer – Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, or Oracle Certified Associate: Java SE
Experience with modern development frameworks and tools

Knowledge of database design and SQL
