Herbal Growers LLC is a licensed indoor cannabis cultivation facility seeking motivated and dependable Cultivation Technicians to support all aspects of cannabis production from propagation through harvest. This is a hands-on role in a startup cultivation environment where team members are expected to assist with nearly every aspect of plant production, facility operations, sanitation, and compliance.
The ideal candidate is hardworking, detail-oriented, physically capable, and passionate about producing high-quality cannabis. In a small operation, Cultivation Technicians work closely with the Head Grower and will be exposed to all stages of cultivation, providing an excellent opportunity for career growth within the industry. Responsibilities are typically broad and include propagation, transplanting, irrigation, pruning, integrated pest management (IPM), environmental monitoring, harvesting, trimming, drying, facility cleaning, inventory support, and compliance documentation.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlant Care & Cultivation
- Assist with cloning, propagation, transplanting, and plant movement.
- Perform watering, irrigation, nutrient mixing, feeding, and flushing.
- Monitor plant health and report deficiencies, pests, diseases, or abnormalities.
- Prune, defoliate, top, trellis, stake, and train plants.
- Assist with mother plant and vegetative plant maintenance.
- Support environmental monitoring including temperature, humidity, VPD, and CO₂ levels.
- Follow all cultivation schedules and SOPs established by management.
Harvest & Post-Harvest
- Assist with harvesting, bucking, trimming, hanging, drying, curing, and packaging.
- Track and record weights and inventory throughout the production cycle.
- Ensure product quality standards are maintained throughout post-harvest processing.
Facility Operations
- Clean and sanitize cultivation rooms, equipment, tools, benches, and workspaces.
- Assist with inventory counts and material tracking.
- Maintain organization of cultivation supplies and work areas.
- Assist with facility projects and preventative maintenance activities.
- Support preparation for inspections and audits.
Compliance & Documentation
- Follow all Delaware cannabis regulations and company SOPs.
- Maintain accurate cultivation records and data entry.
- Assist with seed-to-sale tracking and inventory management systems.
- Follow all security, safety, and sanitation procedures.
Qualifications Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, push, and pull throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift up to 50 -75 pounds regularly.
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work weekends and occasional overtime as required.
Preferred
- Cannabis cultivation experience.
- Commercial agriculture, greenhouse, horticulture, hydroponics, or nursery experience.
- Knowledge of cannabis cultivation techniques and plant biology.
- Experience with irrigation systems, fertigation, environmental controls, or IPM programs.
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing ladders, and repetitive motions.
- Lift and carry up to 50 - 75 lbs repeatedly.
- Work in warm, humid cultivation environments.
- Use PPE as required.
- Ability to perform repetitive cultivation and harvest tasks for extended periods.
